LESSONS AND CLASSES

A guitar teacher's teaching experience is important. And finding a teacher who loves to teach will contribute significantly to your level of enjoyment as you learn and will increase the rate at which you progress.

Ellen has developed her program through many years of experience. Her approach is progressive, providing a strong foundation in technique while remaining flexible enough to accommodate the tastes and goals of each student.

B.A. and M.A. degrees in Music and Music Theory.
Teaching individual guitar lessons and music theory with patience and enthusiasm since 1981
Teaching all ages (5 and up)
Teaching all levels (beginning through advanced)
Teaching in-school guitar classes
Conducted children's choir
Conducted adult guitar ensemble
Taught college courses in music fundamentals and advanced theory and composition

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

Lesson times:
Between 9:00 & 6:30,
Monday through Friday.

Rates:
$25 for half hour
$40 for full hour

GUITAR CLASSES
IN YOUR SCHOOL

Ellen Whitaker is available to teach guitar classes and music fundamentals classes in schools on a contract basis.

Ellen will provide all of the teaching materials. Students should provide their own guitars.

Grades:
Guitar Classes: 5-12
Music Fundamentals: 9-12

Course Length:

As long as requested with a minimum of 8 weeks.

Enrollment:
Minimum of 8 students.
Maximum of 10 students.
